This was a great nightclub after midnight, with a variety of booming music across both floors! The atmosphere and setting are phenomenal, toilets were clean too. Good selection of drinks with me having a Newcastle Ale and Redstripe, although entry fee is a tad expensive.
The place could do with being updated, as could the door staff, very 90s, power trip, angry looking bouncer but inside the place was clean enough. Quite an intimate venue but the toilets had plenty of toilet paper always and they never ran out of ice like a lot of venues do towards the end of the night. Served quick enough at the bar also. And if you like bass then upstairs if you're in front of the DJ box, then prepare to have your soul shaken. I'd definitely return for another trance event.
Both floors have a full void soundsystem. As anyone who appreciates music will know these speakers pump out some of the best sound you will find in a nightclub. World HQ has gone overboard and the amount of speakers could easily power a venue three times the size.
The raised DJ booth on the top floor gives you a festival feeling in a small venue.
As someone use to London - Drink prices seemed cheap but I can’t really tell compared to the local area. Staff were really friendly too.

The sound system is absolutely out of tune, there is no cloakroom, drinks are made with expired mixers, the place itself is full of rolling 18 year olds filming instagram stories, because there is no no filming policy, trash everywhere. The only reason this gets 2 stars and not one is the DJs they invite. They are great. Overall not a pleasant experience
My friends and I went as a group of 3 girls. We have never experienced such continuous foul attitude from every bouncer/doorman.
We had only had a couple of drinks before this so we were perfectly aware with what was happening.
The club had been open 15 minutes by this point and they failed to explain why we couldn’t come in and shouted as us to stay standing in the rain. One of the bouncers kept opening and slamming the doors and actually slammed into a boy that was also waiting to come in too.
There was no explanation or order to their system just attitude straight off the bat.
We had issues continuously throughout the night with rude and unwelcoming staff.
Do not go here if you want to be treated with respect.
Mint music. Loads of class acts brought here. Great sound and lights systems. Good service at the bar. Women's toilets clean and big. Legendary in Newcastle
Absolutely love the early doors night. Nice gathering of nice people.
Frankly the most authentic place I’ve been and properly raved since sankeys or paradise factory over a decade ago in Manc. I’m in awe of how good the music and crowd were. This Saturday was my first time up here, went to some funky bars but I’m already planning a trip back just to come back to WHQ. I didn’t realise anywhere this good still existed and I can’t wait to get back! Thanks WHQ 👌🏻🤘🏻
